Silverado 1500 – Great For Everyday Use

If you’re looking for a daily driver that’s as at home in the grocery store parking lot as it is on the job site, you may want to consider the Silverado 1500. The 1500 is slightly shorter and narrower than the HD, making it easy to maneuver in tight spaces. It also has better fuel efficiency than the Silverado HD.

Don’t worry about power, though; the 1500 still has plenty with a TurboMax™ 310 horsepower engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, and a 13,300 lb towing capacity that’s enough for a pop-up camper or large travel trailer.

Silverado HD – For The Big Jobs

If you want to pull the heaviest trailers or use your truck for work, you may want to consider the Silverado HD. It’s both taller and wider than the 1500 but has increased power and towing capacity.

Both the Silverado 2500 HD and the Silverado 3500 HD come standard with a 6.6 L V8 engine and an Allison® 10-speed automatic transmission, as well. The 2500 HD offers up to 22,500 lbs of towing capacity and the 3500 HD has up to 36,000 lbs of towing capacity. That’s enough for even the toughest jobs.
